High Level Throwing: Carrying Angle

Posted by austin-wasserman | 19 January 2018 | Experts & Champions,Technical

High Level Throwing owner Austin Wasserman reminds us that it’s important to understand the carrying angle so you don’t force a specific style of throwing motion. Athletes have variations in their degrees of carrying angle and may sometimes look more flexible or hyper-mobile when throwing than others. Remember to work to stabilize the elbow joint as much as possible and not focus on the structural or anatomical set-up of that athlete as these fixed angles cannot be altered.
