Players: Put Gratitude Into Action

Posted by osbstaff | 14 August 2017 | Character

There are lots of reasons to feel fortunate about being able to play softball. Spending time with teammates who become great friends, learning and loving the game itself, meeting new people, getting stronger, learning to fail, and working toward a better future in the game are all great reasons to love a day at the ballpark.

Think about all the things that have to happen to get you onto that field. You work really hard. Your parents drive you places, buy you gear, and cheer like crazy in the stands. They love to see you play and support you all the way.

Your coaches love the game like you do. They spend time learning how to best push you and your teammates to be at your best, they promote you, and help you to learn the game.

Your teammates are there for you, and you for them. Being a part of a team is a great opportunity to grow as a person as well as an athlete.

Find ways to make others better, to remind yourself of the ways other people are involved and to feel and show how grateful you are. Unlock the worksheet and complete the exercise, or do it with your team, to see the many specific reasons to be thankful for the great things you have.
